![]() My environment is Windows-based, but maybe this will at least point you in the right direction. Hopefully it's not to late to help, but I've been struggling with the same issue and have come up with a solution/workaround. I'm now at a loss what to try further and would appreciate any suggestions to get the shares mounting again. The technical aspects of Drobo seem great, but at the price they're asking I expected better performance and speedier customer support. I tried everything Drobo recommends on their site (restarting both machines…, and putting the IP of the Drobo in the /etc/hosts file). Didn't work either (besides, the other NAS are running trouble free on those installations). I tried it with a different Mac on the same network and I connected the DroboFS to a different computer on a different network. ![]() (I blanked the user name and password DroboVault is the name of the share I'm trying to mount DroboFS is the name of the DroboFS machine itself)ĭrobo Dashboard software sees the DroboFS just fine and tells me that about 53% capacity is used, the lights are all green for the 5 drives and I can adjust parameters (create new users, change passwords etc…). Speeds were never great (12 MB/s) and deleting files was slow and sometimes troublesome (deleting a Mac app especially took sometimes several tries as it complained files were in use this also happens sometimes on my Synology DS 209 and WD MyBook World NAS), but I was Ok with that.ĭuring the last week, I restarted the DroboFS and my iMac several times (for example to enable Drobo apps), and it never posed a problem.īut since 2 days, everytime I try to mount the network share, I get a "system resource is in use" error.Īdditionally, system.log is flooded with the following lines:Īug 22 23:57:34 iMac : mount_afp: AFPMountURL returned error -1069, errno is -1069Īug 22 23:57:34 iMac sudo: root : TTY=unknown PWD=/ USER=XXXX COMMAND=/sbin/mount_afp /Volumes/DroboFS/0db102070204/1/DroboVaultĪug 22 23:57:35 iMac : mount_afp: AFPMountURL returned error -1069, errno is -1069Īug 22 23:57:35 iMac mDNSResponder: ERROR: mDNSPlatformTCPConnect - connect failed: socket 97: Error 13 (Permission denied) This gives me about 7.5 GB of net data space that I filled to a bit more than half its capacity during last week. On receiving my DroboFS, I immediately installed 5 2GB WD drives and configured it to simple drive failure protection (I also made sure to install the latest firmware and Drobo Dashboard software). As Drobo customer support doesn't seem to care (haven't heard a peep since registering the box, nor any help/mail after my inquiry for support), I'm turning to the Networking Matrix to help me get it working again. I bought a DroboFS a week ago that I've been running trouble free since on my iMac running Mac OS X 10.6.4 using a NetGear Gigabit switch and a static IP (192.168.0.24) I gave the box.īut this weekend, after a restart of the Drobo, I'm no longer able to mount the shared volume.
